Memories of childhood, every 'mama shop' at the  corner would have one of these tied one to a string or weaved rubber bands for their customers to light up. Back in the days, they sell them by the sticks and it wasn't too long ago that they sell the 10 stick pack. I believe it was said to discourage smoking hence the 'ban'. Not sure how that works though?!

The Grand Old Lady - Lao Pa Sat, truly an art piece.

Amidst the ever growing cityscape, Lao Pa Sat (Old Market) stands proud. Underwent countless facelifts, change of use. 
Over a century old, it witness the history, growth and change to the nation.

Came across this craftsman soldering copper balls, along a pre-war conservation shophouse along Sims Ave. 

Wondering what are these copper balls for? Make a guess, an absolute essential, even in today's Modern Singapore.
